Abstract:Changjiang Delta Area (CDA)is the most powerful economic center of comprehensive strength in China, boasting a long coastal line with rich marine tourist resources and characterized with the great advantages to be developed for tourism. The construction of the prime tourist circle is steadily being pushed forward and the structures of marine tourist industry are constantly being improved. Compared with 1990s, the rapid growth of the tourist industry in CDA has conspicuously slowed down. The increasing range of its economy is also coming down every year. As a result, the proportion of tourist economy is changing in the systems of national economy and service economy. The tourist market has become maturely stable from rapid growth, entering into a transitional stage. The transitional inkling of the tourist industry can be realized from the molding of tourist products, the construction of tourist destinations as well as the formation of the cluster of tourist industry. Combined with the industries of other sorts and their mutual infiltration, tourism has formed a new industrial pattern of diversities. By analyzing the characteristics of the tourist industry in CDA at the transitional period, this paper argues that the regional integration has resulted in the formation of new pattern of tourist "economy of the economic zone" in CDA. The industrial cluster of marine tourism formed on the basis of the kernel attraction of marine tourism in the geographical and spatial agglomeration is coming into being. The development of both regional characterization and urban touring has promoted a two-way developing trend in which the area has become a tourist destination and industrialized the destination. In view of the above-mentioned features of the tourism in CDA at its transitional period, this paper advances the conception to construct such eight product chains related to sea and ocean as marine pleasure holiday tour, marine exhibition festival tour, marine science and technology tour, yacht tour, sea fishing pleasure tour, ocean-specific tour, pleasure sports tour and sightseeing real estate.
